Android has a hidden Sensors Off feature that allows you to protect your smartphone from eavesdropping. Igor Bederov, head of the information and analytical research department at T.Hunter, said this. When you activate the Sensors Off function on your smartphone, the access of applications to the microphone and cameras is limited.
To enable the Sensors Off function, the user first needs to activate the so-called «Developer Mode». This is done as follows: open the settings, scroll the menu to the line «About phone» and at this point click on the «Build number» item several times. After at least five taps, the smartphone will ask you to enter the screen unlock code — entering it will turn on the «Developer Mode».
Then, return to the main settings page and select: «System» > «Developer Options» > «Quick Settings Items». Next, you need to select the Sensors Off or «Sensors disabled» item and activate it. Now when you pull down the notification shade, you will see a new tile called Sensors Off or Sensors Off. If you don’t understand, watch the video instruction (https://youtu.be/2_rRFsZCAFk).
